about TEA Pad ForUM
The funding gap is a major obstacle for existing and emerging Black cannabis operators/entrepreneurs in the United States. One solution to this problem requires convening, demystifying, and educating wealthy Black individuals about the cannabis industry and then connecting them with Black operators.
This is not an attempt to position cannabis investing as a panacea or risk-free opportunity but rather an opportunity to realistically bolster the Black entrepreneurs/operators taking on massive risks and challenges to be successful pioneers in an emerging domestic and global industry. This industry has implications for Black ownership, education/workforce development opportunities, health + wellness opportunities, and community reinvestment into Black communities. We do not want to stand by and allow the status quo of Black culture and ingenuity seeding a new legal industry and those Black entrepreneurs to be left of the opportunity to build wealth and not benefit from the legalization of cannabis.
Goal: To build bridges between the Black cannabis entrepreneurs and Black capital with the goal of building Black generational wealth in this emerging industry that we helped pioneer.
We create intentional space for potential Black investors and interested parties to learn about the regulated cannabis industry by connecting them with Black policymakers, industry professionals, and investment-ready cannabis entrepreneurs and operators.
